My Questions to Everyoneby CarmenWhy do kids make bad choices? Are adults the cause of bad decisions? There’s really no right or wrong answers to these questions. I, myself, make bad choices when it comes to school, listening to my mom and following others. It’s all part of growing up from kids to teens and from teens to adults. The real question that pops into my mind is Are teens’ bad decisions caused by adults? Look at it this way, adults do bad things, too, right? Some teens see what their parents do, and they do the exact thing. Adults do drugs, drink and fight physically. We as kids see this all the time and think it’s o.k. Is it our fault that we grow up to be the spitting image of them? No! As growing up teens, we don’t know the right path to take. Is it our fault that we as teens don’t know which direction to go? We have a lot on our mind, struggling to keep grades up to impress our teachers and parents. All we ask from adults is to support us, believe in us and listen to what we have to say. If they can’t do that, then watch us become the mistake they raised! There are very rare times where we can tell an adult our true thoughts. Not all adults want to listen to our problems because they have been through the same thing and don’t want to bother helping us with what they could never be helped with themselves. Right now, we see adults as bad people. But are they bad people or are they trying to help us? There’s another question that comes to mind. Why are some adults trying to help kids when they can’t even help themselves? I want to say this to you. Don’t let an adult put you down. Follow your dreams and don’t keep secrets that could stop you from fulfilling that dream. Make the right choices and only follow those who made the choice to succeed in life. Make the right choice that the adult you know never made. Show that adult that you are not going to be a drug addict, a bum or even a prostitute. We are not going to be that “out of control teen” our adults say we are going to be. We are going to be undefeated, successful, and proud to be independent? We are going to grow up into mature and decent ADULTS!
